Cherry Blossoms Fun Facts

Cherry blossoms, known as “yinghua” in Chinese and “sakura” in Japanese, are very commonly found in China, Korea, and Japan. However, they are most popular in Japan, specifically in places like Kyoto. Mount Yoshinoyama has been a popular tourist attraction of cherry blossoms for centuries.

Fortunately, there are many varieties of cherry blossoms for tourists to view. These include the Somei Yoshino (Yoshino Cherry), the Yamazakura, the Shidarezakura (Weeping Cherry Blossom Tree), the Kwanzan, the Ichiyo, and the Ukon trees. Learn more about them below!
